EYE Protection
Eye protection in the form of spectacles, goggles or full face visor must be worn at all times when on site. All eye protection shall conform to EN 166 Optical Class 1, grade F as a minimum for safety glasses or grade B for goggles / full face visor.
For clarity, this does not apply when in site / client offices and accommodation or when in the enclosed cab of vehicles / mobile plant unless a Risk Assessment deem eye protection necessary. There are many different types of eye protection available and it is important to select one appropriate and suitable for the task undertaken in line with the impact classifications and environmental conditions. All eye/face protection should be clean, free from dirt and debris, free from significant scratches.
