Environment & Sustainability
We all share the same planetary home, and as part of nature our wellbeing is dependent on the natural and physical systems that surround us. Our environment is the foundation on which everything else rests. We may derive meaning and purpose from culture and interpersonal connection, but this is underpinned by us all being able to meet our needs for food, clean water, clean air, shelter, and to experience a limited exposure to toxic chemicals or radiation. Managing our impact on the environment should matter to all of us. Morally, there should be concern for those in our current generation who are adversely affected, and because of our concern for our legacy and the opportunities that we are leaving for future generations. To achieve a sustainable economy, we need to meet the needs of today, without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. This site is therefore created to allow our community to share ideas, information and case studies to help each other in accelerating our performance and meet our goals. |
